About Nandi Shah, MD

Nandi Shah, MD, is a board-certified endocrinologist with special interests in osteoporosis, metabolic bone, thyroid, pituitary and adrenal diseases. She takes an evidence-based and patient-centered care approach to support her patients in achieving their health goals.

As a member of the faculty in the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism, she trains medical students, residents and fellows at UC San Diego School of Medicine.

Dr. Shah completed her fellowship training in endocrinology at Stanford University, where she treated thousands of complex and rare cases under the mentorship of internationally recognized leaders in endocrinology. She published her research and led quality improvement initiatives to improve care for patients with metabolic bone and endocrine diseases.

She completed her residency training in internal medicine at UC San Diego School of Medicine. Dr. Shah earned her medical degree from USC Keck School of Medicine.

In her spare time, she enjoys taking advantage of the beautiful San Diego outdoors with hiking and yoga as well as exploring new restaurants and traveling.
