About Patrick Pablo, RD
Patrick Pablo is a registered dietitian (RD) who counsels people on their eating habits to improve health and help treat diseases. He provides nutrition education as well as medical nutrition therapy for individuals with chronic illnesses such as cancer and sickle cell disease. He has been an outpatient oncology dietician at Moores Cancer Center since 2019.
Born and raised in Hawaii, he employs the Aloha spirit in his daily work to provide compassionate care and empathy to those dealing with a cancer diagnosis. He desires to help patients get through treatment successfully by helping them manage any nutritional impact symptoms they may have. He strives to help patients maintain their strength and quality of life. Cancer prevention and cancer survivorship nutrition recommendations are a key part of his role as a dietitian.
Mr. Pablo participates in the multidisciplinary Gastrointestinal Intestinal / Endocrine / Pancreatic Tumor Board and is part of the Sickle Cell Comprehensive Care Clinic.
He started his career as an inpatient dietitian in 2005 under Aramark Food Service and later officially joined UC San Diego Health in 2007, working with patients in the bone marrow transplant unit at Jacobs Medical Center.
Mr. Pablo completed a bachelor's degree in nutrition and dietetics from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND).
Outside of work, he enjoys spending his free time with his wife and two children, as well as weightlifting and being an avid Disney fan.
