About Paula F. Abeleda Allison, MSN, FNP-BC
Paula F. Abeleda Allison is a board-certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-BC) who provides comprehensive care for adults with hemophilia and other bleeding disorders including congenital and non-congenital clotting disorders. She is committed to treating patients with respect and providing high-quality empathic care.
Paula joined the Hemophilia and Thrombosis Treatment Center in 2016 serving as clinical nurse coordinator before transitioning to her role as a nurse practitioner in 2021. She previously worked in the intermediate care unit and cardiovascular unit at UC San Diego Medical Center and various hospitals in San Diego.
Paula earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Azusa Pacific University in San Diego and her bachelor's degree in nursing from California State University San Marcos. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
She is a member of the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Research Society and the Foundation for Women & Girls with Blood Disorders.
Outside of work, Paula enjoys adventure travel, cooking and photography. In addition to English, Paula speaks Tagalog.
