About Supreet Sethi, MD

Supreet Sethi, MD, is a board-certified nephrologist who specializes in the care and management of kidney and pancreas transplant patients. She has a special interest in the management of highly sensitized kidney transplant recipients. She also treats individuals with acute kidney injury and chronic kidney disease.

She finds the most gratifying part of her job to be able to be a part of a patient's journey from being on dialysis to receiving a life-changing kidney transplant. She enjoys the multidisciplinary approach to patient care and likes to partner with her patients to achieve the best possible outcome after transplant.

Prior to joining UC San Diego Health, Dr. Sethi was a nephrologist and assistant professor of medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where she completed her transplant nephrology fellowship. She also completed a fellowship in nephrology at Duke University and a residency in internal medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences where she also served as chief resident in the department of medicine. Dr. Sethi earned her medical degree from Government Medical College and Hospital in Chandigarh, India.

Dr. Sethi is a member of the American Society Transplantation and the American Society Nephrology. She is board certified in both internal medicine and nephrology.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling and dancing. Dr. Sethi speaks Hindi and Punjabi fluently.
