About Shravan Dave, MD
Shravan Dave, MD, is a gastroenterologist who specializes in general and transplant hepatology, treating acute and chronic liver diseases such as viral hepatitis, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NALFD), alcohol-related liver disease (ALD), autoimmune liver diseases, cirrhosis and liver cancer.
Dr. Dave believes in a personalized approach to every patient. Every person has a different medical history, family history, and occupational history that can impact their diagnosis and treatment plan. He strives to help patients achieve their liver-related health goals.
He finds hepatology rewarding because he gets the privilege of helping patients with chronic liver diseases improve their condition, and if needed, evaluate them for liver transplantation.
Dr. Dave conducts research on liver transplantation, viral hepatitis and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals.
He completed fellowship training in gastroenterology and transplant hepatology at UC San Diego Health and a residency in internal medicine at UC San Francisco. He earned his medical degree at University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
In his free time, Dr. Dave enjoys trying out new restaurants and strolling along the beach with his wife and dog.
