About Yueling Li, MD
Yueling Li, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist who sees UC San Diego students with mental and behavioral health care needs. She has experience caring for patients with a range of mental health issues, including eating disorders, depression, anxiety and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Dr. Li practices evidence-based medicine. She focuses on developing individualized treatment plans, based on each of her patient's unique needs. She enjoys seeing her patients gain inner strength to face diverse challenges in their lives.
Her research has examined the impact of COVID-19 on emergency mental health, and the persistence (and prognosis) of ADHD from childhood to adulthood.
Prior to joining UC San Diego Health in 2023, Dr. Li was a child and adolescent psychiatry fellow at UC San Diego School of Medicine / Rady Children's Hospital.
Dr. Li completed fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry at UC San Diego School of Medicine and residency training in psychiatry at Millcreek Community Hospital in Pennsylvania. She completed medical school at Dalian Medical University, China, and also earned a doctor of philosophy in psychiatry from the Institute of Mental Health at Beijing University. In addition, she holds three master's degrees: a master's of science in health service administration from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, a master's of applied science in clinical research from UC San Diego, and a master's of psychiatry and clinical psychology from the Chinese Medical University.
