Sonali Mondkar, MD

Sonali Mondkar, MD, is a board-certified physician providing primary care through the Rancho Family Medical Group. She is a member of UC San Diego Health Physician Network. 

UC San Diego Health Physician Network is an alliance of health care providers based in San Diego, Riverside and Imperial counties. Members of the network collaborate on developing shared systems, infrastructure and quality initiatives to provide high-value health care in the region. 

As a primary care physician, Dr. Mondkar provides preventive care and treatment of acute and chronic diseases and injuries for people of all ages. Because of her travels, she feels she is well-versed in different types of patient populations and able to understand her patients better to provide empathetic, comprehensive care. She likes to get the full scope of her patient to determine the best treatment plan. Dr. Mondkar chose to practice medicine because she realized she can help all classes, cultures and religions. She loves learning and believes practicing medicine is a field where she can be a constant learner and still connect with people.

Dr. Mondkar completed her residency in family medicine at UHS Southern California Medical Education Consortium and earned her medical degree at American University of Antigua School of Medicine. She is board certified in family medicine. 

Outside of work, Dr. Mondkar loves to garden and read both fiction and non-fiction. She also enjoys going to local parks and the beach with her pet husky.
