About Randall Metsch, MD, FAAP
Randall Metsch, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician providing care through the Children's Primary Care Medical Group. He is a member of UC San Diego Health Physician Network.
UC San Diego Health Physician Network is an alliance of health care providers based in San Diego, Riverside and Imperial counties. Members of the network collaborate on developing shared systems, infrastructure and quality initiatives to provide high-value health care in the region.
As a pediatrician, Dr. Metsch provides primary care for infants, children and young adults. He has a special interest in infectious disease and trauma. Becoming a pediatrician always was his lifelong dream and his father practiced pediatrics for over 50 years. Dr. Metsch finds taking care of children from birth to early adulthood challenging, exciting and very rewarding. He says the interaction with children as they grow, thrive and mature is priceless.
Dr. Metsch completed his residency at UC San Diego School of Medicine and earned his medical degree at University of Arizona College of Medicine. He is board certified in pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP).
Outside of work, Dr. Metsch loves enjoying San Diego with his wife and two kids. They like playing tennis, scuba diving, fishing, traveling and going to the beach.
