About Shelese Newmark, MD, FACP
Shelese Newmark, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine doctor. She provides primary care for adults, including preventive care and diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic diseases. Dr. Newmark treats adults through the concierge medicine program at UC San Diego Health. Concierge Medicine is a primary care option that requires an annual fee and offers enhanced services, extended amenities and 24/7 access.
Dr. Newmark listens intently to patients and enjoys collaborating with them to work toward optimizing health and wellness. She finds it rewarding to see health and wellness return to a status of priority for those in whom it has for too long been neglected.
Prior to joining UC San Diego Health, Dr. Newmark practiced internal medicine at Scripps Coastal Medical Group and Vista Community Clinic in the San Diego area. She also trained medical students and residents as an assistant professor at UC Los Angeles.
She completed a residency in internal medicine at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center in 2012 and earned her medical degree at UC Los Angeles David Geffen School of Medicine in 2009. Dr. Newmark is a fellow of the American College of Physicians.
Outside of work, she enjoys living intentionally, being outdoors, singing, reading and spending time with family.
