About Stephanie Tarle, PhD
Stephanie Tarle, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist who treats a range of mental health concerns in children and adolescents related to attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral issues, and emotion regulation difficulties.
Dr. Tarle employs a strength-based approach to helping children, working collaboratively with families to achieve their treatment goals.
Her practice focuses on evidence-based treatments and assessments. She operates from a cognitive-behavioral perspective that incorporates developmental, cultural, and systemic considerations.
Prior to joining UC San Diego Health in 2023, Dr. Tarle was an assistant professor at California Lutheran University and cared for patients in her own private practice. Her research examines ADHD, emotion regulation, and executive functioning.
Dr. Tarle is a member of the American Psychological Association and California Psychological Association.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching sports, listening to music, playing tennis and playing with her dog.
