
About Yuri Shindo, MD
Yuri Shindo, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician who specializes in caring for hospitalized patients. As a hospitalist, Dr. Shindo is assigned to patients at the time of admission and provides care only during their hospital stay. She does not see patients at outpatient clinics and is not available for appointments. Upon a patient's hospital discharge, Dr. Shindo communicates with their regular physician to ensure quality care.
Dr. Shindo's interests include medical education, quality improvement and addiction medicine. She also serves as the medical director of the Union of Pan Asian Communities, a country-contracted drug and alcohol treatment program.
Dr. Shindo attended Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine where she also completed her residency training in internal medicine and served as chief resident. Dr. Shindo received her undergraduate degree in microbiology, immunology and molecular genetics from UC Los Angeles. She is board certified in internal medicine.
Dr. Shindo is bilingual and speaks both English and conversational Japanese.
