About Angelina Collins, MSN, ANP-BC
Angelina Collins, MSN, is a board-certified adult nurse practitioner who cares for patients within the gastroenterology department, specifically the Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Center. With over 17 years of experience, she has expertise on treating people with inflammatory bowel disease, including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. She is passionate about delivering patient centered care for those who are newly diagnosed, to those who have longstanding disease and complications, as well as patients in clinical trials.
Prior to joining UC San Diego Health she was a gastroenterology nurse practitioner at Genesis Gastroenterology for 11 years, and an adult nurse practitioner at Hillcrest Internal Medicine.
Angelina completed her nursing and master's degree in nursing from University of San Diego Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science.
She is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association, American College of Gastroenterology, Gastroenterology & Hepatology Advanced Practice Providers and California Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Angelina has been a board member for the Greater San Diego and Desert Area chapter of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation since 2015 and currently serves as the healthcare provider committee chairperson of the Greater San Diego and Desert Area chapter of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation.
