About Stefanie Sacknoff, MS, PA-C
Stefanie Sacknoff, MS, is a certified physician assistant (PA-C) who helps provide patient care for adults with sickle cell disease and other hemoglobinopathies. In addition to the direct patient care she provides, Ms. Sacknoff promotes non-clinical efforts to increase access to preventive and coordinated care for sickle cell patients. She also participates in a monthly support group for adolescents and young adults, focusing on patients ages 18-30 who are navigating a cancer diagnosis and survivorship.
Regardless of the condition, Ms. Sacknoff aspires to provide compassionate and comprehensive care for her patients as they navigate their health journey.
Prior to joining UC San Diego Health in 2019, Ms. Sacknoff worked as a physician assistant in oncology caring for patients with both solid tumors and hematological malignancies.
Ms. Sacknoff completed a master's degree in health science at The George Washington University and an undergraduate degree in biochemistry from University of San Diego. She is certified by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a member of the American Association of Physician Assistants.
Outside of work, Ms. Sacknoff enjoys traveling, live music and spending time with her family, including her husband and her dog, Fisher.
