Jennifer Zehe, PhD

Jennifer Zehe, Ph.D., is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with Integrated Behavioral Health at UC San Diego Health, where she collaborates with primary care physicians to deliver integrated, whole-person care. She has a strong background in working with people who have experienced various types of trauma. Other areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, relational problems, parenting and family dynamics, grief and loss, and substance use. Jennifer particularly enjoys working with adolescents, who often need support with peer relationships, self-esteem and building a strong sense of self.
In therapy, Jennifer integrates evidence-based interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and motivational interviewing (MI) with attention to cultural and systemic factors that influence life experiences.
Prior to joining UC San Diego Health, Jennifer provided mental health services at Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego. Jennifer earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at the University at Buffalo. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Society of Clinical Psychology.
