About Y. Linda Liou, DO

Y. Linda Liou, DO, is a board-certified dermatologist who treats a variety of general dermatological conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin cancers, hair and nail problems. She has a special interest in patients with contact dermatitis who need patch testing.

As an assistant professor in the Department of Dermatology, she trains medical students and residents at UC San Diego School of Medicine.

Dr. Liou completed her dermatology residency at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center through Case Western Reserve University. During her training, she also maintained a continuity clinic at the Louis Stokes Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where she enjoyed serving the Veterans of Northeast Ohio. Dr. Liou earned her medical degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology.

Prior to venturing out to the Midwest, Dr. Liou grew up in Southern California and attended college at UC San Diego. She is excited to return to her alma mater and serve the people of San Diego. Outside of work, Dr. Liou enjoys spending time with her family by going on hikes, exploring new restaurants, and exploring the new attractions around San Diego.

Dr. Liou speaks conversational Mandarin.
