About Andrew Vo, OD, FAAO, FSLS
Andrew Vo, OD, is an optometrist with a focus in specialty contact lenses, myopia (nearsightedness) control and ocular disease. He specializes in fitting contact lenses for aphakia (eye lens absence), keratoconus (cone-shaped corneas), post-surgical corneas, severe dry eyes and myopia control.
Dr. Vo helped establish the UC San Diego Myopia Control Clinic, which provides state-of-the-art treatment to slow the progression of nearsightedness in children. He is a member of the Acute Eye Care Clinic, where he triages and cares for patients with emergency eye-related issues, such as flashes and floaters, sudden loss of vision and eye pain.
He completed his residency in cornea and contact lenses at the Marshall B. Ketchum University's Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton. During his residency, he received extensive training in fitting all types of contact lenses. Dr. Vo earned his medical degree in optometry from UC Berkeley and his bachelor's degree in biochemistry from UC Riverside. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and the Scleral Lens Society.
