About Irene Chang, MD, FAAP
Irene Chang, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician providing care through the Children's Primary Care Medical Group. She is a member of UC San Diego Health Physician Network.
UC San Diego Health Physician Network is an alliance of health care providers based in San Diego, Riverside and Imperial counties. Members of the network collaborate on developing shared systems, infrastructure and quality initiatives to provide high-value health care in the region.
As a pediatrician, Dr. Chang provides primary care for infants, children and young adults. She enjoys partnering with parents to help their kids stay healthy, as well as watching how kids thrive when given opportunities. Dr. Chang likes that working with children is energizing and there is never a dull moment. She feels children have such excitement, which is contagious in the best possible way.
Dr. Chang completed her residency at UC San Diego School of Medicine and earned her medical degree at Ichan School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is board certified in pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP).
