About Natalia Vasiuk, MD

Natalia Vasiuk, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician who provides primary care for adults, 16 and older, and geriatrics focusing on wellness and preventative measures and management of acute and chronic medical conditions. She helps people manage various medical conditions including type 2 diabetes, hypertension, obesity, high cholesterol, liver/kidney disease, migraine, and chronic headaches. Dr. Vasiuk assists patients with weight loss through healthy eating advice, lifestyle changes, and medication. Dr. Vasiuk focuses on women's wellness with gynecological exams, Pap, mammograms, manages birth control, menopause symptoms, and treats sexually transmitted diseases. She also focuses on her patients' mental health, specifically anxiety and depression.

Dr. Vasiuk's goal is to engage each patient to take a more active role in their treatment plan by exploring their goals and developing strategies for overcoming obstacles. She strives to be the best resource for her patients for up-to-date advice on questions or concerns they may have and to be their advocate to help them navigate their journey from diagnosis to treatment.

Prior to joining UC San Diego Health, Dr. Vasiuk practiced primary care at Dignity Health Mercy Medical Group in Roseville, Calif. and the University of Pennsylvania Internal Medicine in West Chester, Pa.

Dr. Vasiuk completed residency training in family medicine at St. Luke's University Health Network in Allentown, Pa. She earned her medical degree from Kyrgyz State Medical Academy in the Kyrgyz Republic. She is board certified family practice physician and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and American Medical Association.

Outside of work she enjoys gardening and cooking, especially healthy recipes from around the world. She loves yoga, Latin dance, and exploring nature. Originally from the former Soviet country of Kyrgyzstan, she speaks Russian fluently.
