About Talya Bordin-Wosk, MD
Tayla Bordin-Wosk, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician who specializes in caring for hospitalized patients. As a hospitalist, Dr. Bordin-Wosk is assigned to patients at the time of admission and provides care only during their hospital stay. She does not see patients at outpatient clinics and is not available for appointments. Upon a patient's hospital discharge, Dr. Bordin-Wosk communicates with their regular physician to ensure quality care.
As an associate professor in the Department of Medicine, she instructs medical students and residents in hospital medicine at UC San Diego School of Medicine. Dr. Bordin-Wosk has a special interest in quality improvement, with a focus on the standardization of provider handoffs to improve patient safety. She is the director of Transitions of Care at UC San Diego Health, focusing on ensuring safe transitions of care at a hospital-wide level.
Dr. Bordin-Wosk completed a residency in internal medicine from UC San Diego School of Medicine and earned her medical degree from George Washington University. She was a founding co-president of the San Diego Chapter of the Society of Hospital Medicine in 2018 and is a fellow in the Society of Hospital Medicine. She is board certified in internal medicine.
