Rebecca Rodriguez, MD, FAAP

Rebecca Rodriguez, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician providing care through the Children's Primary Care Medical Group. She is a member of UC San Diego Health Physician Network. 

UC San Diego Health Physician Network is an alliance of health care providers based in San Diego, Riverside and Imperial counties. Members of the network collaborate on developing shared systems, infrastructure and quality initiatives to provide high-value health care in the region. 

As a pediatrician, Dr. Rodriguez provides primary care for infants, children and young adults. She was drawn to pediatrics for the preventive care aspect, as well as the joy she felt during her toughest days in medical school while working with children. She feels privileged to be a part of a child's growth and development from the beginning, and it is her mission to help children on the path towards their best health and to see them live out their dreams. Dr. Rodriguez looks forward to each day, given children's amazing imaginations and silly phrases they blurt out. She also enjoys building a therapeutic relationship with caregivers, equipping them with knowledge to put to practice at home and having them teach her new things to apply to other families.

Dr. Rodriguez completed her residency in pediatrics at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital and earned her medical degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Paul L. Foster School of Medicine. She is board certified in pediatrics, a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP) and fluent in Spanish.

Outside of work, Dr. Rodriguez enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She and her husband like cooking, spontaneous dance parties in their living room, performing duets (she sings and her husband plays the piano), relaxing on the couch enjoying a good show or sporting event, exploring the expansive San Diego food scene and staying active by the beach or on hiking trails.
