About Quan M. Bui, MD
Quan M. Bui, MD, is a board-certified cardiologist specializing in advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, and heart transplantation. He has a particular interest and expertise in managing patients with genetic cardiomyopathies, including cardiac amyloidosis and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
As an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine, Dr. Bui teaches medical students, residents, and fellows at the UC San Diego School of Medicine. Dr. Bui conducts research in cardiovascular genetics with a focus on genetic cardiomyopathies.
Dr. Bui's work has been featured in top medical journals, including Circulation, Circulation Heart Failure, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, and The Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation. He is also an investigator for clinical trials in heart failure and genetic cardiomyopathies.
Dr. Bui completed his advanced heart failure, cardiovascular medicine, and internal medicine training at UC San Diego School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
He is a member of the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology, the Heart Failure Society of America, and the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation.
Dr. Bui is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and echocardiography.
