Erin E. Noste, MD, is a board-certified emergency medicine physician who treats patients of all ages in the emergency department for evaluation of acute medical and surgical problems. She was drawn to emergency care because of the role emergency medicine plays in helping patients access the care they need and helping patients navigate the health system.
Dr. Noste has special interests in global health, disaster relief and response, and international emergency medicine. She has spoken and lectured extensively on these topics and one of her aims is to expand patient care to emergency services both locally and internationally.
As an associate professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine, Dr. Noste instructs medical students, residents and fellows at UC San Diego School of Medicine.
She completed fellowship training in emergency medical services and operational and disaster medicine, and residency training in emergency medicine from Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C. Dr. Noste earned her medical degree from UC Davis School of Medicine in Sacramento, Calif. She is board certified in emergency medicine and emergency medical services.
Dr. Noste is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and a member of the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine, the National Association of EMS Physicians, and the African Federation of Emergency Medicine.
She enjoys outdoor and water activities and living in her hometown near the ocean.
