About George Hightower, MD, PhD

George Hightower, MD, PhD, is a board-certified in dermatologist and pediatric dermatologist. Dr. Hightower treats patients with atopic dermatitis, hyperhidrosis, psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa, vitiligo and other disorders of pigmentation. His advocacy work focuses of supporting patients transitioning from family supervised (pediatric) to patient centered care (young adult care).

Dr. Hightower completed his fellowship in pediatric dermatology at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego and his residency in pediatrics and dermatology at University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill. He is a graduate of the medical scientist training program at UC San Diego School of Medicine where he earned his medical degree and doctoral degree.

In his free time, Dr. Hightower enjoys time out in nature and time with his family.
