About Kimberly Podsada, BSN, MSN, RN, NP-C, CNS
Kimberly Podsada, MSN, is a certified nurse practitioner (NP-C) who specializes in breast cancer care at the Comprehensive Breast Health Center at UC San Diego Health. Ms. Podsada provides direct patient care to those with a benign breast diagnosis, ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) and survivorship, in addition to supporting medical oncologists.
She is deeply involved in the breast survivorship clinic. She assesses patients' needs, listens to concerns, and helps provide a comprehensive treatment plan that may involve working with other departments such as women's health, occupational therapy, physical therapy, endocrinology, weight management or behavioral health.
Ms. Podsada is involved with clinical trials and numerous oncology associations including the Oncology Nursing Society, San Diego Advanced Practice Oncology Providers and the Advanced Practitioner Society for Hematology and Oncology.
Ms. Podsada completed her dual master of science in nursing degree as an oncology advanced practice nurse and clinical nurse specialist from UC Los Angeles. She completed a bachelor's degree in nursing from University of Washington in Seattle. She is board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
