About Lingling Huang, MD, PhD

Lingling Huang, MD, PhD, is an ophthalmologist who specializes in treating uveitis, a form of inflammation in the eye. Dr. Huang is dedicated to treating patients with pediatric uveitis, infectious uveitis and adult uveitis.

She is an assistant professor of ophthalmology, and as an active researcher has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed journals. Her research interests involve using data from electronic health records and imaging tests to enhance and personalize clinical outcomes using artificial inelegance. She is the recipient of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) OT2 training grant for the AI Ready and Equitable Atlas for Diabetes Insights (AI- READI) program which is a large trans-NIH initiative to generate new datasets for advancing artificial intelligence (AI). She is also experienced in cancer research and is interested in orbital tumor research. She has presented her research at conferences around the world and is on the editorial board for the Medical Science Monitor.

Dr. Huang completed a fellowship in uveitis at the Casey Eye Institute at Oregon Health & Science University where she was the hospital inpatient consult service attending physician. She completed an ophthalmology residency at the UC San Diego Shiley Eye Institute where she served as chief resident. Dr. Huang earned her medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Mo.
