Sally L. Baxter, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in comprehensive eye care.
Her practice is focused on primary eye care for general conditions of the eye and surrounding structures, including cataracts, ocular surface disorders, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.
As an assistant professor of ophthalmology at UC San Diego School of Medicine, Dr. Baxter conducts original research in ophthalmology, using a variety of health information technologies to better understand how to improve patient outcomes.
Dr. Baxter completed fellowship training in biomedical informatics and residency training in ophthalmology at UC San Diego School of Medicine She earned her medical degree from Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
She is a classically trained pianist and violinist and former collegiate pole vaulter.
