About Christian Vallido, MA, LMFT
Christian Vallido, MA, is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) with Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) at UC San Diego Health. There, he collaborates with your primary care team to deliver integrated, whole-person care. He works with patients to create a safe, warm and non-judgmental environment in order to promote self-care, boundary setting and making behavioral changes, aimed at overcoming unhelpful thinking patterns. He has experience working with individuals (ages 12-72), couples and families and has served various populations including Asian, Hispanic/Latinx, BIPOC and Caucasian.
He completed his master's degree in marriage and family therapy from the University of San Diego and earned his bachelor's degree in sociology from San Diego State University. He has special interests in working with couples, military families, and normalizing mental health.
In his free time, Christian enjoys exercising (lifting, hiking, cycling, basketball), engaging in hobbies (comics, video games), discovering new restaurants, and spending time with his family and dog.
