About Charles Hergesheimer, MD

Charles Hergesheimer, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician. He provides primary care for adults, including preventive care and diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.

He is also certified in Botox Cosmetic, a procedure performed in the office to temporarily reduce the appearance of wrinkles on the forehead and around the eyes.

During his medical training, Dr. Hergesheimer completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at UC San Diego. He earned his medical degree from UC Irvine. Dr. Hergesheimer is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He is also medical director for Hospice of the North Coast, which provides end-of-life care to patients in northern San Diego County.

Married with three children, Dr. Hergesheimer lives in La Costa but was born and raised in Yokohama, Japan, until he moved to Escondido at age 11. He enjoys physical fitness, snow skiing, and playing the guitar.
