About Natasha Surette, MD

Natasha Surette, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician who specializes in caring for hospitalized patients. As a hospitalist, Dr. Surette is assigned to patients at the time of admission and provides care only during their hospital stay. She does not see patients at outpatient clinics and is not available for appointments. Upon a patient's discharge, Dr. Surette communicates with their regular physician to ensure quality care.

As an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine, Dr. Surette instructs medical students, residents and fellows.

Prior to joining UC San Diego Health, Dr. Surette worked as an academic hospitalist at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Conn. and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Mass.

She completed her internal medicine residency at Yale School of Medicine. She earned her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. She is board certified in internal medicine.
