About Tracy Alderman, PhD
Tracy Alderman, PhD is a licensed clinical psychologist. She has decades of experience in the treatment of self-injury, trauma, substance abuse, anxiety, ADHD, depression, and crisis management.
Dr. Alderman is a leading expert in the field of self-injury. She is the author of The Scarred Soul: Understanding and Ending Self-Inflicted Violence, and co-author of Amongst Ourselves: A Self-Help Guide for Living with Dissociative Identity Disorder (New Harbinger Publications).
Dr. Alderman has served on the faculty at various local universities and colleges in research and clinical capacities. An integral part of the College Mental Health team, she helps serve the mental health and psychiatric needs of over 30,000 undergraduate and graduate students at UC San Diego.
