Ryan Stewart, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine doctor. He provides primary care for adults, including preventive care and diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic diseases. He treats adults through the concierge medicine program at UC San Diego Health. Concierge medicine is a primary care option that requires an annual fee and offers enhanced services, extended amenities and 24/7 access.
Prior to joining UC San Diego Health, Dr. Stewart cared for patients in private practice for 15 years in San Diego's North County communities. He has repeatedly been named a top doctor in San Diego Magazine's "Physicians of Exceptional Excellence" annual survey performed in collaboration with the San Diego County Medical Society.
Dr. Stewart completed a residency in internal medicine at Scripps Mercy Hospital, where he was selected for his clinical and leadership abilities to serve as chief resident. He earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Stewart is board certified in internal medicine. He is a member of the American College of Physicians and San Diego County Medical Society.
Dr. Stewart is a Southern California native and UC San Diego alumnus. Outside of work, he stays active through surfing, swimming, hiking and cycling. Dr. Stewart also enjoys camping with his wife, two sons, and their two golden retrievers.
