About David J. Lee, MD, PhD
David J. Lee, MD, PhD, is a board-certified neurologist who treats seizures and epilepsy, including epilepsy that does not respond to medication.
As an assistant professor in the Department of Neurosciences, Dr. Lee conducts research on epilepsy and trains medical students, residents and fellows at UC San Diego School of Medicine.
He completed a fellowship in neurophysiology with a focus on epilepsy at UC San Diego School of Medicine, where he also did a residency in adult neurology. He earned his medical degree and doctorate in neuropharmacology at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is board certified in neurology.
Dr. Lee is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Epilepsy Society.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, playing golf, tennis and soccer, and taking advantage of San Diego's recreational and cultural amenities.
