About Emily C. Edmonds, PhD
Emily C. Edmonds, PhD, is a licensed clinical neuropsychologist who specializes in assessing older adults with neurological and psychiatric disorders, particularly Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.
Dr. Edmonds is part of UC San Diego Health's Memory, Aging and Resilience Clinic (MARC).
An assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry, her research examines early diagnosis of dementia, including mild cognitive impairment. She is also interested in understanding changes in cognition and brain imaging with normal aging, mild cognitive impairment, and dementia.
Dr. Edmonds joined UC San Diego Health in 2017 and the faculty of UC San Diego School of Medicine in 2016.
She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at UC San Diego School of Medicine. She also completed a clinical internship and a fellowship in neuropsychology at Rush University Medical Center. She earned her doctorate in clinical psychology, with an emphasis in neuropsychology, from the University of Arizona College of Science.
Dr. Edmonds is a member of the International Neuropsychological Society and the Society for Clinical Neuropsychology.
