About Yong Tan, MD

Yong Tan, MD, is a board-certified family medicine doctor providing primary care through the Imperial Valley Family Care Medical Group. He is a member of the UC San Diego Health Physician Network.

UC San Diego Health Physician Network is an alliance of health care providers based in San Diego, Riverside and Imperial counties. Members of the network collaborate on developing shared systems, infrastructure and quality initiatives to provide high-value health care in the region.

As a primary care physician, Dr. Tan provides preventive care and treatment of acute and chronic diseases for people of all ages.

Before joining the Imperial Valley Family Care Medical Group, Dr. Tan worked at Clinicas de Salud del Pueblo, a community health clinic in Brawley, California offering comprehensive care to the medically underserved.

Dr. Tan earned his medical degree from the Loma Linda University School of Medicine, and completed his residency at Kaiser Permanente in Fontana, California. He is board certified in family medicine.

Dr. Tan was born and raised in Singapore.
