Anna Stern, MD

Anna Stern, MD, is a board-certified physician providing primary care through Perlman Clinic, an independent practice with clinic offices throughout San Diego. She is a member of the UC San Diego Health Physician Network.

UC San Diego Health Physician Network is an alliance of health care providers based in San Diego, Riverside and Imperial counties. Members of the network collaborate on developing shared systems, infrastructure and quality initiatives to provide high-value health care in the region.

As a primary care physician, Dr. Stern provides preventive care and treatment of acute and chronic diseases and injuries for people of all ages.

Prior to joining Perlman Clinic, Dr. Stern served as the medical director of an Oregon-based health insurer. Her unique experience working in health insurance, as well as her experience as a patient and as a family member of individuals with serious medical conditions shapes her ability to be an advocate for her patients.

Dr. Stern earned her medical degree at UC San Diego School of Medicine. She completed her residency training at UC San Diego Medical Center and is board certified in preventive medicine and public health. She earned a master's degree in public health from the San Diego State University, and a master's degree in business from the Wharton School.
