About Jamie M. DeLuca, PhD
Jamie DeLuca PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist who treats college students and adults with a variety of mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety and substance use disorders (addiction).
She is part of the college mental health program, which provides specialty mental health services to UC San Diego students.
Dr. DeLuca's expertise is working with individuals with complex medical issues. She uses evidence-based behavioral medicine interventions related to sleep, weight, pain management and stress reduction to improve patient outcomes.
She has experience with diverse patient populations of different ages and ethnic backgrounds, comorbid conditions, symptom severity, and military experiences.
She has training in delivering crisis and solution-oriented, evidence-based treatments for a variety of conditions, including:
- PTSD using cognitive processing therapy and prolonged exposure therapy
- Anxiety and depression using acceptance and commitment therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy
- Substance use disorders using cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing
Dr. DeLuca completed a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical psychology and behavioral medicine at VA San Diego Healthcare System and UC San Diego School of Medicine. She earned her doctorate and master's in clinical psychology at Palo Alto University.
