Eliana Deutsch, MS, RN, is a board-certified women's health nurse practitioner (WHNP-BC) and adult nurse practitioner (ANP-C). She provides routine prenatal care, comprehensive gynecological care and family planning services for women of all ages. She has a special interest in caring for teens and adolescents.
Ms. Deutsch often sees individuals with common gynecologic conditions such as vaginitis, abnormal pap smears, pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding and pain during menstruation (dysmenorrhea).
Prior to joining UC San Diego Health, Ms. Deutsch spent eight years as a clinician at Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest, providing community-based family planning and sexual health care.
Previously, she also managed the high-risk breast clinic at Naval Medical Center San Diego, where she coordinated care and provided counseling for women with an elevated risk of breast cancer, such as BRCA mutation carriers.
Ms. Deutsch earned her master's degree in nursing from Columbia University School of Nursing in New York and her bachelor's degree in sociology from UC San Diego.
Outside of work, Ms. Deutsch enjoys trying new restaurants, exercising, and spending time with her family and dog, Lucy. She speaks conversational Spanish.
