About Keith Vaux, MD
Keith Vaux, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician providing primary care through Point Loma Pediatrics. He is a member of the UC San Diego Health Physician Network.
UC San Diego Health Physician Network is an alliance of health care providers based in San Diego, Riverside and Imperial counties. Members of the network collaborate on developing shared systems, infrastructure and quality initiatives to provide high-value health care in the region.
As a pediatrician, Dr. Vaux provides comprehensive pediatric care including preventive care, and diagnosing and treating chronic and acute conditions and injuries. With significant background in neurosciences, he has particular clinical interest in managing autism and epilepsy. He is active in clinical research in medical genetics, and has published and lectured extensively in the field.
For the first thirteen years of Dr. Vaux's medical career, he served as an active duty physician for the U.S. Navy. He has worked in medical genetics, neurosciences and pediatrics for UC San Diego Health, as well as in continuing medical education for practicing physicians.
He founded Point Loma Pediatrics in 2015.
Dr. Vaux earned his medical degree from the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine, and completed a fellowship in dysmorphology and medical genetics, with an additional certificate in teratology at UC San Diego Medical Center. He is board certified in pediatrics.
