About Sabiha Hussain, MD
Sabiha Hussain, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician and pediatric infectious disease specialist who provides primary care for infants, children and adolescents through all of their developmental stages.
Dr. Hussain's practice is focused on treating common pediatric illnesses and conditions, as well as performing routine well-child physicals and sports physicals, immunizations and preventive health care. She also practices newborn medicine and care.
Prior to joining UC San Diego Health in 2018, Dr. Hussain was a pediatrician with Advanced Pediatric Medical Group in San Diego and the Family Health Center/ Community Action Partnership of Kern in Bakersfield, Calif.
She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a 2015 recipient of the Compassionate Doctor Recognition On-Time Doctor Award.
Dr. Hussain completed a fellowship in pediatric infectious diseases at the University of Florida College of Medicine. She completed residency training in pediatrics at SUNY Upstate Medical University. She earned her medical degree from Aga Khan University Medical College, Karachi, Pakistan. She is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric infectious diseases.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, reading and yoga.
