About Janelle Farias, MA, LMFT
Janelle Farias, MA, is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) who specializes in mental health services to children and adolescents. She has experience working with all types of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), eating disorders, gender dysphoria, autism spectrum disorder, bipolar disorder, and intellectual disability.
Her practice emphasizes the importance of family in their child's successful treatment and overall well-being. As part of this, she also provides family education so that loved ones may better understand their child's mental health issues and needs.

She also has training in family-based therapy (Maudsley Model) for eating disorders, LGBTQ assessment and motivational interviewing, as well as anxiety-exposure therapy, play therapy, solution-focused therapy, structural family therapy, and trauma-focused therapy.
Mrs. Faris earned her master's degree from Pepperdine University in Malibu.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, being outdoors and yoga.
