About Douglas D'Agati, MD
Douglas D'Agati, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist who specializes in treating adults and young adults with mood disorders (such as depression and bipolar disorder), anxiety disorders, psychosis, and schizophrenia.
His research interests include mood disorders, mental health literacy, torpor and its connections to psychopathology, and brain stimulation (such as transcranial magnetic stimulation and electroconvulsive therapy). He also has an interest in psychiatry in the arts.
Dr. D'Agati completed fellowship training in mood disorders at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where he also completed residency training in psychiatry and served as chief resident. He earned his medical degree from University of Maryland School of Medicine.
Outside of work, he enjoys reading and writing fiction, illustration and studio art, nature, juggling and sports.
