About Ryan Hussman, MPA, PA-C
Ryan Hussman, MPA, is a certified physician assistant (PA-C) who treats people of all ages in urgent care and emergency department settings. In this capacity, he provides patient-centered experiences to a wide-range of populations by evaluating patient needs, identifying diagnoses, formulating treatment plans, and using evidence-based medicine to provide the most optimal encounters.
Hussman performs various procedures including fracture reductions, anesthesia administration, interpretation of imaging and lab studies, joint injections and aspirations, and wound care management.
Prior to joining UC San Diego Health, he was a physician assistant in the emergency departments at Sharp Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, Calif. and Regional Medical Center in San Jose.
Hussman earned his Master of Physician Assistant (MPA) degree from Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, Calif. and his bachelor's degree in kinesiology from San Diego State University. He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Outside of work, he enjoys music, baseball and the outdoors.
