Katrin Seifert, PsyD, is a board-certified clinical health psychologist who provides mental and behavioral health services in the primary care setting. She sees patients who have been referred to her by their UC San Diego Health primary care physician.
Dr. Seifert treats a wide -range of behavioral health conditions, including depression, anxiety, grief, trauma and relationship difficulties. She also helps people cope with challenges associated with chronic medical conditions and chronic pain.
Her practices includes addressing health behaviors, such as increasing daily exercise/activity, healthy eating and smoking cessation. She has a special interest in working with the LGBT population. Dr. Seifert has worked in integrated primary care settings for nearly a decade.
Prior to joining UC San Diego Health in 2014, she was director of Integrated Services and Psychology Training at a community health center in Colorado.
Dr. Seifert completed postdoctoral training at Salud Family Health Centers in Frederick, Colo. She earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Denver.
She is a member of the American Psychological Association, California Psychological Association, and Collaborative Family Healthcare Association.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, dance and travel.
