Walter F. Combs, MD

Walter Combs, MD, is a board-certified physician providing primary care through the Rancho Family Medical Group. He is a member of UC San Diego Health Physician Network.

UC San Diego Health Physician Network is an alliance of health care providers based in San Diego, Riverside and Imperial counties. Members of the network collaborate on developing shared systems, infrastructure and quality initiatives to provide high-value health care in the region.

As a primary care physician, Dr. Combs provides preventive care and treatment of acute and chronic diseases and injuries for people of all ages. He performs many procedures in the office including vasectomies, circumcisions, sigmoidoscopies, and most dermatological procedures.

Dr. Combs is a medical director at Rancho Family Medical Group and he has held numerous clinical leadership positions through his years practicing medicine, including at Regal Medical Group, Sharp Hospital Murrieta, and Loma Linda Medical Center.

Dr. Combs earned his medical degree from UC San Francisco. He completed an internship and residency, and served as chief resident, at Ventura County Medical Center. He is board certified in family medicine.
