About Richard Eric James Madrid, MD

Eric Madrid, MD, is a board-certified physician providing primary care through the Rancho Family Medical Group. He is a member of UC San Diego Health Physician Network.

UC San Diego Health Physician Network is an alliance of health care providers based in San Diego, Riverside and Imperial counties. Members of the network collaborate on developing shared systems, infrastructure and quality initiatives to provide high-value health care in the region.

As a primary care physician, Dr. Madrid provides preventive care and treatment of acute and chronic diseases and injuries for people of all ages. His special interests include preventive medicine, nutrition, integrative medicine, vitamin D testing, diabetes care and hospital work.

Since 2006, Dr. Madrid has been going to Haiti to do medical missionary work with the Haiti Endowment Fund, providing medical care and medicines to those who need them.

Dr. Madrid earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University School off Medicine, and completed his family medicine residency at Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital in Whittier, CA where he served as chief resident. He is board certified in family medicine.
