About Benjamin Heyman, MD

Benjamin Heyman, MD, is a board-certified hematologist who treats patients with blood cancers such as lymphoma, leukemia and myeloma.

His research focuses on the development of early phase clinical trials that offer new cancer treatments for patients. This includes the study of natural killer-based cellular therapies to treat patients with hematologic malignancies.

Dr. Heyman completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology at Duke University School of Medicine (Duke University Medical Center), where he also did his residency in internal medicine. He earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Dr. Heyman is board certified in internal medicine and hematology.

He is a member of the American Society for Hematology, American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Medical Association.

In his spare time, Dr. Heyman enjoys swimming, arts and theater.
