About Mai Hoang, MD, FACOG

Mai Hoang, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist who provides comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care. She has special interests in low and high-risk pregnancies, including vaginal birth after Cesarean section (VBAC), irregular bleeding and minimally invasive surgery.

She also sees patients for well-woman visits, family planning, and treatment for issues such as abnormal Pap smears, fibroids, ovarian cysts, and gynecological infections. Dr. Hoang strives to provide quality and evidence-based medicine for all women. She aims to deliver compassionate care at every visit. In addition, she strongly encourages patients to be proactive participants through patient education.

Dr. Hoang has worked in many different geographic settings as well as clinical environments, from private practice to medical mission trips. As a first-generation Vietnamese American woman, she understands how cultural and personal backgrounds can impact medical management, which she believes is a shared, decision-making process between patients and physicians.

Dr. Hoang completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Yale School of Medicine and earned her medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG).

She actively serves on the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists District IX Global Health Committee as well as Healthcare for Underserved Women Committee.

Outside of work, Dr. Hoang enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with her family. She loves to travel and explore different cultures and cuisines. She speaks Vietnamese in addition to English.
