Elena Musser, MPH, CNSC, CSRN, is a registered dietitian who provides medical nutrition therapy and counsels people with kidney, bariatric and diabetic issues on eating habits to improve health and treat diseases.
As part of the multidisciplinary team at UC San Diego Health's Comprehensive Kidney Stone Center, she works closely with patients to provide individualized dietary plans, nutrition care and education that can help reduce the risk of kidney stones.
After getting a Master of Public Health in epidemiology and a Bachelor of Science degree from Kyrgyz State Medical Academy in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic, Ms. Musser completed a didactic program in dietetics at Kansas State University and a dietetic internship at Marywood University in Scranton, Penn.
Ms. Musser is a certified nutrition support clinician (CNSC) and a certified specialist in renal nutrition (CSRN). She holds certification of training in adult weight management from the Commission on Dietetic Registration and is a member of the American Dietetic Association.
She is conversant in Russian.
