About Bruce Olmscheid, MD
Bruce Olmscheid, MD, is a board-certified physician providing primary care through One Medical, an independent, membership-based practice with an annual fee. He is a member of the UC San Diego Health Physician Network.
UC San Diego Health Physician Network is an alliance of health care providers based in San Diego, Riverside and Imperial counties. Members of the network collaborate on developing shared systems, infrastructure and quality initiatives to provide high-value health care in the region.
As a primary care physician, Dr. Olmscheid provides preventive care and treatment of acute and chronic diseases and injuries for adults. He has an emphasis on LGBT health; sexual health; and HIV prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
As a district medical director for One Medical, Dr. Olmscheid is the clinical lead for the company's California-based clinics. In addition to his clinical practice in primary care and HIV medicine, Dr. Olmscheid has been involved as a principle investigator for numerous clinical trials focused on HIV and AIDS.
Dr. Olmscheid earned his medical degree at University of Minnesota School of Medicine where he completed his internship and residency training. He is board certified in family medicine with a specialty in HIV medicine.
