About Kathleen Huff, MS, LMFT
Kathleen Huff, MS, is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) whose expertise is in treating children, adolescents and families dealing with a variety of mental health disorders, such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism.
Ms. Huff's therapy uses evidence-based approaches. She is a registered play therapist and is also certified in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy.
Ms. Huff offers training strategies for parents and psychoeducational to families so that families may better understand their individual needs, the family's needs, and what it means to have a particular mental health diagnosis.
Prior to joining UC San Diego Health, Ms. Huff was a therapist at Rady Children's Hospital.
Ms. Huff earned her Master of Science in counseling, with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy, at San Diego State University.
She is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and a member of the Association for Play Therapy.
Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, being by water, reading, visiting art museums and spending time with family and friends.
